Rev. Derek W. West - 2nd Vice Moderator - C.R.S.K.M.T.B.D.A

Revered Derek W. West is a native of Clarksville, Tennessee. He was led at an early age to motivate and inspire a generation of people. He accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of 8 and was a faithful member of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Spring Creek for many years. While a member of Mount Zion Spring Creek, Reverend West was very active in many ministry activities at his home church including Usher, Youth Choir, Musician, Youth Deacon, Male Chorus, Sunday School TA few short years after his graduating from Clarksville High School in 1996, on February 4, 2001 at the age of 21, Reverend West was called into the ministry and was ordained March 13, 2005. Furthering his commitment to God, he served as Associate Minister at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church Spring Creek. He attended the Clarksville School of Religion. Reverend West humbly accepted the call to Pastor Nevels Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and preached his first sermon as Pastor on March 4, 2018. Pastor West was installed as the fifteenth pastor of Nevels Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on April 22, 2018. Reverend West is the sixth of eight children born to Reverend Charles West and Sister Alice B. West. He is married to Sister Temeka Yvonne Gold West and they are the proud parents of four sons: Derek W. West, Jr., Davereus J. West, Daydrian J. West, and Derozan A. West. Pastor West is teaching and preaching salvation, walking in humility, and operating under the grace of our Father in Heaven. Nevels Chapel Missionary Baptist Church is “A Place for New Change.”
